One of the most common concerns shared by commuters is being stranded without access to a car. The Regional Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) Program helps alleviate this concern by providing employees who rideshare to work with a reimbursed ride home in the event of a valid emergency. GRH is a free benefit offered to enrolled employers and their employees who carpool, vanpool, take transit, bicycle, or walk to work. Employers who have signed up to participate in the Regional GRH Program can confidently encourage employees to leave their cars at home and rideshare to work.
Additional GRH Program Information
Employers can offer special programs to their employees and help them get to work faster and happier. In doing so, employers can help themselves by meeting air quality standards, receiving tax deductions, resolving parking issues and having a more satisfied workforce. Metro Regional Rideshare/Shared Mobility is committed to providing support to employers, large and small, in LA County.
Resources include sustainability programs, employee incentive information, guaranteed ride home programs, and discounted Metro TAP passes are all available.

Regardless of your company's size, OCTA offers programs and services to help your employees improve their commutes by saving them money and reducing stress. Together, we can keep Orange County businesses moving.
Employers with five or more Metrolink riders can participate in the Corporate Partner Program (CPP). Many employers offer these passes as a benefit or incentive by subsidizing all or part of the amount. Employers can set up flexible spending accounts for this transit expense. This program helps employers comply with South Coast AQMD requirements and offers a possible reduction in payroll taxes.
For vanpools, OCTA offers $400 worth of assistance ($500 for qualified groups) per month per vanpool for those with worksites in Orange County. This assistance covers approximately 25% of the monthly lease and fuel costs. Employers who actively participate in the Vanpool, OC Bus Perk Pass, AVR Processing, or Metrolink Corporate Programs can also participate in the Guaranteed Ride Home Program, which reimburses commuters two times per year for qualified emergency rides home.
For more information or to get a program started at your workplace, call 714.560.5331 or visit OCTA's Rideshare Programs website.
